INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR 1-HOUR CONSULTATION
To make the most effective use of your consultation, you will want to bring a copy of any current court order that applies to you and/or your children as well as any other documentation pertinent to your case. Our goal is for you to leave your consultation with the knowledge of what moving forward with your case involves. Here is a checklist of items that will assist us in providing through representation:
A list of any questions and concerns you can think of in advance.
Date of marriage and timeline of events in marriage.
A copy of any domestic contracts (e.g., a prenuptial agreement).
Information about any previous legal proceedings between the spouses or involving any of the children.
Dates and particulars about any previous separations, attempts at reconciliation, or marriage counseling.
The name of your employer and your spouse’s employer, including dates of employment.
Note your income and the income of your spouse (as well as total household).
Name of bank(s), saving/checking account(s) (with numbers), amounts and names on the account(s).
Stocks, Bonds, portfolio and other investment information if applicable.
The value of pensions/retirement holdings, name associated and when contribution was started.
Note other major items such as jewelry, art collections, antiques.
Deeds and purchase date, price, balances remaining of real estate holdings.
List all debts including amount owed, to whom, account numbers, when they were incurred, date due and name(s) on the accounts.
Education and employment backgrounds.
Names and ages, and places of children’s birth.
