Dulce B. Fazel, Esquire
Even before becoming an attorney, Dulce B. Fazel was already a part of the Jacksonville legal community. For 18 years prior to entering law school, Mrs. Fazel was a legal assistant to a few private attorneys, and subsequently moved over to the corporate arena, as a senior paralegal with Merrill Lynch.
Mrs. Fazel received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida, majoring in Banking & Finance (corporate track). In 2004, Mrs. Fazel graduated, with Honors, from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, Mrs. Fazel was consistently in the Dean’s Scholars list, and booked (highest grade) Constitutional Law, Commercial Law, Family Law, and Domestic Violence classes. She was a published member of Law Review, was a teaching assistant and research assistant for two professors, and served several semesters in the Family Law Clinic as a registered clinician. All that, while finishing law school in two years!!
After law school, Mrs. Fazel worked for a short time as an associate for an AV-rated estate planning law firm. However, after only a few months, she opened her own law office, and continued that practice until December 2017. During that time, Mrs. Fazel was a proud member of the Florida Family Law Inn of Court (an invitation-only, fully vetted association of local family law attorneys & judges). She participated in numerous law-based community service events through her work with the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, including Ask-a-Lawyer, Citizenship Day, as well as taking on individual pro bono cases.
Mrs. Fazel is a frequent speaker at CLE (continuing legal education) seminars on topics such as QDROs, and “Divorce from A to Z.” She was also a featured CLE speaker at the St. Johns County F.L.A.G. (Family Law Advisory Group) meetings, as well as the circuit-wide F.L.A.G. meetings for the Seventh Circuit, discussing the nexus between family law & immigration law.
Mrs. Fazel is admitted to The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court (Middle District of Florida) and practices primarily in:
· Family law
· Commercial Litigation
· Estate Planning
· Probate & Guardianship
· Immigration (Family-based)
· Real Property law
· Foreclosure & Foreclosure defense
Currently, Mrs. Fazel is branching out her practice, and will shortly open up a satellite office in Phoenix, Arizona. She continues to practice in Florida for select clients, and has been fortunate to work with her respected colleague, Jenna Houser, as “of counsel” to The Houser Law Firm, P.A., where she shares in the opportunity of representing joint clients with the firm.
